Crime

Police tape around a crime scene

Do not attend the police station without legal representation.

If you are:

  • Charged with an offence
  • Under investigation by the Police, Revenue and Customs, DSS (Department for Work & Pensions) or Local Authority
  • Summonsed to go to court for driving matters
  • Going through the court process unrepresented

We would like to hear from you

What will it cost?

Regardless of your capital or income, all advice at the police station is free of charge.

If you have to go to court, we will apply for a Representation Order (Legal Aid) as soon as possible. Free legal representation at court may be available to people in employment or with savings. If free representation is not available to you, or if you prefer to instruct us privately, we offer competitive private client rates. If we successfully defend the case on your behalf, so that all charges are dismissed or withdrawn, then we would normally be able to recover your costs from central funds, so any cost to you in those circumstances would be eliminated or greatly reduced .

If you or someone you know want our advice or simply wish to discuss your case, please contact Harry Bayman on 01904 731100 or email us through our contact page.

If you or a friend or relative have been arrested and are in the police station, you must seek legal advice immediately. Our emergency out of hours number is 07711396544.

WHATEVER THE HOUR you will be able to speak to a defence lawyer who is an expert in police station representation. We will also be able to attend the police station, to ensure you are properly advised and your rights protected.
